Common questions
How long does customs clearance take in Saudi Arabia?
With complete documents and permits in place, most shipments are released within one to two working days of arrival; many are cleared the same day. Shipments selected for physical inspection, or missing a conformity certificate, take longer — which is why we prepare everything before arrival.
Do I need to be registered to import?
Yes. The importer needs a valid Saudi commercial registration with an import activity and an account on the FASAH platform. If you are new to importing, we will guide you through the registration before your first shipment.
What will I pay, and how is it shown?
Customs duty (by HS code), 15% VAT on the customs value plus duty, port and handling charges, any inspection fees, and our clearance fee. Our quotation lists each line separately, and the official receipts are shared with you.
What is SABER and does my product need it?
SABER is the Saudi conformity platform for regulated products. Many consumer and industrial goods need a product certificate and a shipment certificate before release. Send us your product list and we will confirm which items are regulated and arrange the certificates.
Can you also arrange the trucking?
Yes. We book container haulage and trucks to any destination in the Kingdom, and we time the pick-up to the release so your cargo does not sit at the port.
Do you handle shipments outside Riyadh?
Yes. Our head office is in Al-Malaz, Riyadh, and we clear at Jeddah, Dammam, Jubail, the main airports and the GCC land borders.
